Job Descriptions:

We need friendly, energetic people to help with the activities and events at Lowe Family Farmstead! Many of our employees are high school and college students, stay-at-home moms and dads, retirees, and professionals from all walks of life. Not only does this seasonal job provide a little extra cash, it is also a fun and rewarding way to help others make wonderful fall memories. Employees at must maintain a clean and professional appearance and be ready to have some fun!

Corn Cop

Corn Cops monitor and run the playground activities such as the Corn Poppers, Friendly Fire, Blasters, Famous Idaho® Potato Sack Slide, Rusty the VBB, the Bee Line, and much more while helping patrons have a great experience. These employees also patrol the corn maze and assist patrons who are more lost than they'd like to be! Corn Cops enforce the rules at Lowe Family Farmstead, as well as maintain a clean and safe environment.

Food Service

Food service employees at Lowe Family Farmstead prepare and serve a variety of grilled food, desserts, and snacks. They maintain the cleanliness of cooking, serving, and eating areas. These employees must exhibit high attention to detail and cleanliness, as well as be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. These individuals are responsible for taking orders, interacting with guests, and handling transactions (cash and credit card). Prior food-handling experience is a plus, as is cashiering experience.

Cashiers at Lowe Family Farmstead are positioned in the ticket booths and the exit booths; they are the first and last faces that our guests see during their experience. These employees must be able to interact well with each and every person that comes through the gates. Cashiers handle transactions such as selling tickets and redeeming coupons. Math skills are important in this position, as these employees are responsible for handling cash while answering questions, interacting with customers, and explaining ticket options and pricing.

Driver (18+ ONLY)

Drivers operate the tractors and/or ATV's that pull our Hayrides, Grain Train, and Cow Train at Lowe Family Farmstead. These employees assist patrons on and off the hayride wagon. They also maintain safety first and foremost by enforcing the rules at each station. Drivers must be personable individuals who enjoy greeting and talking with people, as well as fielding questions about the tractors and the operation. We especially love drivers who have a little mechanical aptitude to get along with some of our old tractors and other equipment! Employees that drive for us  must be at least 18 years old with a good driving record.

Actor in the Field of Screams

Our actors in the Field of Screams (more info here), the Lowe Family Farmstead's haunted corn maze, have one of the most physically demanding jobs at the farm, and is only for individuals with lots of energy and endurance. These actors work, as directed, to startle and scare patrons. While on the job, they also enforce rules and maintain safety in the cornfield. This position offers evening hours on the weekends only.
